Reactive Systems

An American firm providing private and secure communication services for companies requested to create a new platform to deploy its services in a B2C (Business to Consumer) model. The project envisioned creating a new platform that included a mobile application with contextually different communication experiences with customized levels of privacy, security and compliance, with text and image messaging functionalities, simultaneous translation, calendar, voice and video, etc. The platform had to be able to scale to millions of users with high levels of security.

The solution was designed and developed from scratch, considering functional and non-functional requirements. We form an interdisciplinary team of around 30 engineers, including UXUI designers, architects, scrum master, frontend and backend developers, QA's, etc. The reactive, distributed and cloud-native architecture allowed the platform to be resilient, responsive and scalable to millions of users with very low resource consumption. For certain functionalities such as translation we used AI languages models and for multimedia and security, other cutting-edge open source technologies were used.

The new platform began to be designed in Q2 2022, and after completing the MVP, in Q4 2022 the development and testing stage of the alpha version began, which was also tested by an external focus group team. By the end of 2023, the key functionalities of the Beta version had been completed and the knowledge transfer was carried out for the operational transfer to the company in charge of supporting the platform. Due to decisions of the Board of Directors and financial restrictions, the Beta launch was suspended and the project was canceled.
