CI/CD Inventory App. Fast Food

Design and development of the complete flow

Challenge

Arcos Dorados, the world's largest independent McDonald's franchise operating in Latin America and the Caribbean, asked DXC Technology Argentina to modernize its fast food inventory application.

Arcos Dorados, LA.

Solution

the new app designed from the scratch included a series of new microservices and lambda functions. The infrastructure provision and configuration had to be automated. They subcontracted our team to design and implement the continuous integration and continuous deployment solution for this new app development and operating life-cycle.

Results

The new CI/CD circuit allowed the project team to automate the development cycle, drastically reducing implementation times. The implementation of the system began in a restaurant in Buenos Aires in December 2019 with excellent results. The launch for the rest of the country and the south of the continent would begin in Q2 2020, but due to the blockade imposed by the pandemic, the fast food industry was strongly affected and the launch was postponed. After this stage, the work continued and these first implementations served as the basis for subsequent reengineering that covered other applications.

Since mid-2024, DXC called us again to collaborate with the architectural advice and support of its entire cloud integration solution.
